24. She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
Not only is this woman in the business of grapes, she also makes garments to sell from the linen she has woven from the flax fiber she has spun from her distaff with her spindle! She supplies the merchants with sashes to wrap about the waist and cinch the garment in for a better fit.
This woman of valor is an entrepreneur, busy in business, but never neglecting her home. She sees a need and she looks for ways to fill the void. The Lord has given her useful skills that are a blessing to all that come in contact with her.
Read Ecclesiastes 9:10 and fill in the blanks: “Whatever your _________ ___________ to do, do it with all of your __________, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither ___________ nor _____________ nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
Read Proverbs 10:4 and fill in the blanks: “Lazy __________ make a man _________, but diligent __________ bring wealth.”
By wealth, I don’t believe the Lord means “millionairish” type wealth, but the wealth of the Spirit, the wealth of giving, the wealth of peace that lives in our hearts. When we know that we are in the business of blessing others with the work of our hands, we are giving others the gifts that God has given to us. We should never look to use these gifts and talents to “buy” acceptance and love from others, nor from God.
Our wealth is the gift of grace given to us freely by God and our attitude should be one of humbleness and gratitude. Pass it on!
Personal Question: How do I bless others with the wealth of gifts the Lord has so generously given to me? ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
